Veneeta Prasad is a sole practitioner of Life Lessons and provides Psychological services to individuals, couples and/or families to help achieve fulfilling lives through one’s own ‘journey of self-discovery’.
I bring about 30 years of clinical experience in my work as a Psychologist and currently run a private practice as a therapist and supervisor. After working in Sydney for approximately 20 years I have been delighted to offer my services in Auckland and work from offices in Remuera and Henderson. I also work as a part-time Senior Psychologist at the University of Auckland Health & Counselling Service. I provide a warm and welcoming environment and draw on a rich source of therapeutic techniques to work collaboratively with individuals, couples and/or families to achieve individual enhancement. |
I believe that through understanding, support and guidance through a practical step-by-step process, a person can achieve a more fulfilling and enriching life than they could have, had their problems never led them to seek professional help. It does take a lot of courage to seek professional help for psychological struggles and to begin the process of addressing the way we want to live.

Why See a Psychologist?There are many advantages from seeing a psychologist. Through therapy a psychologists can provide you support, problem-solving skills, and enhanced coping strategies for problems with mood (eg. anxiety, depression) cognition (eg memory, concentration), adjustment problems (eg acute distress, grief), behaviour (eg anger, self-management, sleep), relationship difficulties, unresolved childhood issues, body image issues and creative blocks.
